1st Grade - Students learned that Annie Oakley was a "shooting star." For the warm up activity, students figured out nine close up pictures of things that had the word "pig" in the name. The rest of the class time was spent finishing up a previous assignment on analyzing the parts of things.
2nd Grade - This group of students learned that Evidence means something which shows that something else exists or is true. Our explorer, Zachary Taylor, did not want to be sworn in as President on a Sunday. Technically then, all of the rest of the Presidents move down a number since someone had to serve as president until Mr. Taylor could take the oath of office. In Crystal Pond Woods, students developed their visual reasoning as they grouped shapes. The final activity was to discover all they could about crayons.
