2nd Grade - These students enjoyed visiting with a guest author today along with the rest of the second grade students.
3rd Grade - Today started by reviewing a few things from last week. First, that Relationship is a connection, association, or involvement. They learned that Hans Christian Andersen couldn't spell but did become one of the world's greatest storytellers. The warm up activity was to complete eight small drawings according to my verbal directions. The objectives of this activity were to listen to instructions and develop their creativity. Students then worked together as a class to develop their class Code of Conduct. They took a a learning styles inventory using the new school laptops. Students then completed an Interest Survey to help me reach them through their learning style. That was followed by a trip to Crystal Pond Woods where we began developing convergent thinking skills.
4th Grade - Today's activities started by learning the word of the week. Confound means to confuse or mix someone up. The investigator, Bill Cosby, overcame childhood poverty and poor school habits to become a famous actor after earning his doctorate degree in education. These students drew eight small pictures following the given verbal directions for the warm up activity. Time was spent developing a class code of conduct or rules to follow while in Enrichment. To begin our Systems study, students took a pretest in order to determine where they are and where they will go by the end of the year. The new school laptops were used to take a learning styles inventory, that was followed by having students complete an Interest Survey.
