We were able to start Enrichment classes today. Here are some of the highlights:
2nd Grade - These students learned that Change means to make the form, nature, content, future course, etc., of (something) different from what it is or from what it would be if left alone. They learned that George Washington was the first President of the United States under the Constitution, but not the very first President of the United States. Students then developed a set of rules to follow while in Enrichment.
This group will meet for a half hour each morning (Monday through Thursday), so there will be updates regarding their activities every day.
3rd Grade - These students learned that a relationship is a connection, association, or involvement. Hans Christian Andersen couldn't spell, but did become a famous story teller. These students worked together to produce a set of class rules for themselves while in Enrichment. They were then given a pretest regarding relationships so that we can see how their learning grows through the year. Schedule changes shortened today's class.
Welcome to Washington Irving's Enrichment blog. This blog was designed to keep parents updated as to the activities of students participating in the program.
