2nd Grade - 2nd graders across Edmond will be taking the CoGAT test this week. Enrichment classes for them was canceled. We will resume our class on Tuesday, January 18.

3rd Grade - This group learned that Tranquility means calmness; peacefulness; quiet; serenity. The investigator, Michael Jordan, did not make his high school basketball team as a sophomore. Students completed a What in the World puzzle for the warm up activity. We discovered the result of the experiment from last week that involved steel wool, water, and oil. As we continued our study of chemistry, students made a hypothesis about what color their water would turn when a tablet was dissolved. In Crystal Pond Woods, we continued our divergent thinking lessons. Students learned how to create a chain reaction contraption based on the work of Rube Goldberg. The final activity was to spend more time researching their Polynesian island.

4th Grade - Their vocabulary word for today was Pulchritude which means beauty. Thomas Alva Edison took out 1,093 patents during his lifetime. These students also completed the What in the World puzzle for the warm up activity. They completed a post assessment regarding eight areas we have been studying this past year. The rest of the day was spent completing research on a planet and creating a brochure.
