2nd Grade - This class learned that Physical Change means any process involving a substance's change from one state (gas, liquid, solid) to another.Their investigator, Harriet Tubman, was not paid for her years of service to the Union during the Civil War. They started the 20 Questions/Mystery Object warm up activity, but were unable to finish it because we ran out of time.

3rd Grade - Their vocabulary word was Liberty which means freedom from external or foreign rule; independence. Steven Spielberg, today's investigator was rejected from film making school. After more than 20 questions this group was able to figure out the Mystery Item/20 Questions for the warm up activity. In Crystal Pond Woods, students continued to develop their divergent thinking skills. Today they were to build a structure nine inches tall from three sheets of construction paper and approximately 40 inches of tape that would hold a set of encyclopedias. Their last project was to hypothesize what would happen to the packing peanuts.

4th Grade - The vocabulary word for this week was indignation which means anger, especially over something that's unfair. The investigator for this class was Albert Einstein who was really a man of peace in spite of the fact that he developed the atomic bomb. It took a while but these students finally figured out the Mystery Object/20 questions for the warm up activity. The rest of the afternoon was spent typing up directions for their robots, researching planets, and creating brochures for their planets.
