3rd Grade - This class learned that Prospect means the possibility that something will happen in the future. Michael Jordan, today's explorer did not make his high school varsity team as a sophomore. The lesson emphasized the original Star Spangled flag. We learned about webbing as a method of brainstorming in Crystal Pond Woods. We had a few minutes to learn about the Gold Rush of 1849. Next week we hope to get to experience the difficulty of digging for gold.
5th Grade - Today our learning activities began with a new vocabulary word - Nefarious which means evil, infamous. The explorer was Robert Fulton, a doodler who invented the steamboat. Students followed directions to draw a Surprise in the Middle drawing for the warm up activity. The affective lesson focused on steps necessary to make a decision. We are starting to wrap up the Exploravision project. The final essays were begun today. Next week we will put the final touches on the project and turn entries over to Toshiba.
