5th Grade - Today our learning activities began with a new vocabulary word - Nefarious which means evil, infamous. The explorer was Robert Fulton, a doodler who invented the steamboat. Students followed directions to draw a Surprise in the Middle drawing for the warm up activity. The affective lesson focused on steps necessary to make a decision. We are starting to wrap up the Exploravision project. The final essays were begun today. Next week we will put the final touches on the project and turn entries over to Toshiba.
2nd Grade - These students learned that a Glacier is a very large area of ice that moves slowly down a slope or valley or over a wide area of land. The explorer Andrew Jackson was under fire many times and was hit with a bullet once. Students listened and followed directions for the Surprise in the Middle warm up drawing.
