4th Grade - Today students learned that Potent means something that is powerful and effective. The Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. led peaceful protests in order to see equal rights for all people. Students completed a Surprise in the Middle drawing for the warm up activity. Humor and symbolic perspectives were the focus of the affective lesson. The rest of the class time was spent repairing robots, typing directions for the other school, and completing planet brochures.
2nd Grade - The weekly trip to Crystal Pond Woods had students developing their visual thinking. Given a set of tangrams, students were to place the seven pieces into a published animal shape.
