5th Grade - These students learned the word Modicum means a moderate amount. Their explorer Conrad Hubert, started the Ever Ready Battery Company when a friend suggested he help create a flower pot that would light up. Mr. Hubert figured if a flower pot could light up, why not a hand torch? Students created a Loosen Up drawing for the warm up activity. The affective lesson focused on truth and consequences. The rest of the morning was spent working on the Exploravision project.
2nd Grade -This class learned that Supply means to make (something) available to be used: to provide someone or something with (something that is needed or wanted). Their explorer, Clara Barton started the American Red Cross. There were two warm up activities today. First, students worked together to solve some Plexer puzzles. The other activity was to create a Loosen Up drawing.
