1st Grade - Today the youngest of the Enrichment classes began. We learned that Ulysses S. Grant did not grow up wanting to be a soldier. Working together we solved the Mystery Object for the warm up activity. In Crystal Pond Woods students started learning about detective (convergent) thinking.
5th Grade - This class learned that Gregarious means sociable. The explorer, Benjamin Franklin only had two years of formal schooling. Students worked together to solve the Mystery Object for the warm up activity. Personally determining what is ethical and what is not ethical was the focus of the affective lesson. With the deadline quickly approaching, students persevered in working toward concluding their Exploravision projects.
4th Grade - Today students learned that Impersonate means to mimic or pretend to be someone else. The explorer, Benjamin Franklin helped write and signed four important documents in our nation's history. Students identified the Mystery Object for the warm up activity. Each team had 45 minutes to build their robots. As the building was moving along, other members of each team wrote out the directions. These directions will be sent to Angie Debo where more fourth graders will try to replicate the robot.
2nd Grade - Our discoveries lessons have taken us to California where we started learning about the Gold Rush.
Welcome to Washington Irving's Enrichment blog. This blog was designed to keep parents updated as to the activities of students participating in the program.
