2nd Grade - These students learned that Predict means to declare or tell in advance. Their thinker was Lydia Darragh who was a spy for George Washington's army during the Revolutionary War.
5th Grade - Students learned that Sequester means to remove and hold in isolation. Today's thinker was George Washington Carver who had a secret garden as a child. Together students solved a logic elimination grid puzzle for the warm up activity. The affective lessons have been focusing on Leadership. Today students had to identify 10 people in their lives and in the world who demonstrate the qualities of leadership. The rest of class was spent finishing up the Bridge Across America project.
