2nd Grade - These students worked to complete the What in the World puzzles for the warm up activity. The rest of our time together was spent completing a survey about the gifted program.
4th Grade - These classes learned that Benign means something that is harmless. The weekly thinker was Mary McLeod Bethune who understood the importance of an education and started a school for African Americans in Daytona, Florida. Students were challenged to solve the What in the World puzzles for the warm up activity. For the affective lesson, students evaluated and compared their characteristics with those of different family members. Time was taken to complete a survey about the gifted program at Washington Irving. When those tasks were completed, students finished selecting 10 foreign countries and research the language spoken there.
Welcome to Washington Irving's Enrichment blog. This blog was designed to keep parents updated as to the activities of students participating in the program.
