2nd Grade - Today's affective lesson focused on the book by Jamie Lee Curtis "I'm Gonna Like Me." Students started a storyboard regarding what they like about themselves.
4th Grade - In order to accommodate the fourth grade classes around Fall Break, Mrs. Bonner, Mrs. Bruns and Mrs. Nine's gifted students met today. They learned that Infallible means a person who never makes a mistake. Elizabeth Blackwell, today's thinker, was accepted to medical school because the school thought it was a joke. She was admitted and became the first American woman doctor. Students worked together to solve the logic elimination puzzle for the warm up activity. For the affective lesson, students were given eight entities they deal with everyday and were asked to determine where on a spectrum they fell with each item. From there students had to put each entity into perspective by creating a house blue print with each entity as the room of a house. We continued to work on language systems. Students created posters to share different countries and the languages spoken in each. If they completed that activity, they had some assignments in Google Classroom to complete.
