2nd Grade - Students drew a Surprise in the Middle drawing for the warm up activity this week. This is a great exercise in learning to follow directions and develop creativity.
4th Grade - Due to Mad Scientist Day Thursday, the Thursday afternoon class met today. Their vocabulary word was Sullen which means a person who is sulky or quietly in a bad mood. The thinker was Mary Cassatt who overcame the stigma of being a woman to become America's Great Impressionist. Students learned about following the directions and creativity with a Surprise in the Middle drawing for the warm up activity. For the affective lesson, students had to analyze and evaluate the various activities in which they are involved to determine if they are trying to keep up with those activities like a bunch of spinning plates. The rest of our time together was spent working on Language Systems assignments.
