2nd Grade - Last week our affective lesson focused on goal setting. Today we finished those goals and started a new lesson regarding task commitment.
4th Grade - The vocabulary word for today was Sullen which means a person who is sulky or quietly in a bad mood. The thinker was Mary Cassatt who overcame the stigma of being a woman to become America's Great Impressionist. Students learned about following the directions and creativity with a Surprise in the Middle drawing for the warm up activity. For the affective lesson, students had to analyze and evaluate the various activities in which they are involved to determine if they are trying to keep up with those activities like a bunch of spinning plates. The rest of our time together was spent working on Language Systems assignments.
Welcome to Washington Irving's Enrichment blog. This blog was designed to keep parents updated as to the activities of students participating in the program.
