4th Grade - Their vocabulary word was Magnate which means a rich, powerful or successful business person. The explorer was Martha Graham, a dancer that President Gerald Ford called "a national treasure." They completed a Quotation Quizzler for the warm-up activity. Setting goals was the focus of the affective lesson. Final presentations of their ocean projects were shared. These students ended the morning continuing their quest to solve how the alphabet came into being.

5th Grade - Passive which means inactive; acted upon but not acting in return, was today's vocabulary word. Robert Goddard, the father of modern rocketry was today's explorer. They also completed the Quotation Quizzler for the warm up activity. The affective lesson began with an activity followed by a discussion regarding impossibilities. Students put their Exploravision projects on poster board for parents to view during Open House this Thursday. The final activity was the beginning of space exploration where students were to build a space station.
