2nd Grade - The students wanted to finish their logic puzzles we started on Monday. We also finished reading the book "Stress Can Really Get on Your Nerves!" Our class ended by practicing some relaxing exercises.
4th Grade - Despite which means in spite of, notwithstanding, was today's vocabulary word. This week's explorer was Matthew Henson who assisted Robert Peary in being the first person to reach the North Pole. These students completed the logic elimination puzzle for a warm-up activity. Students learned that successful people demonstrate the trait of creativity by building something from given materials and writing a story about it. They worked to complete their History of the Alphabet time lines.
Welcome to Washington Irving's Enrichment blog. This blog was designed to keep parents updated as to the activities of students participating in the program.
