2nd Grade - Students made their own set of tangrams today and then followed a story to make different shapes. Here is the website of the tangrams if students would like to make some more shapes at home. Tangram Stories
4th Grade - Their vocabulary word was Magnate which means a rich, powerful or successful business person. The explorer was Martha Graham, a dancer that President Gerald Ford called "a national treasure." They completed a Quotation Quizzler for the warm-up activity. Setting goals was the focus of the affective lesson. Final presentations of their ocean projects were shared. These students ended the afternoon continuing their quest to solve how the alphabet came into being.
