Happy Veterans Day!
1st Grade - Today's ponderer was Calamity Jane. Many think she should have been named "Lucky", because when she showed up she was able to help people with their problems. For the warm up activity, students followed directions and developed a robot for Surprise in the Middle. Students learned sorting using a Venn diagram for the trip to Crystal Pond Woods.
5th Grade - Opprobrious, which means shameful, infamous was the vocabulary word today. The ponderer was John Pemberton, inventor of Coca-Cola. These students also followed directions to make the Surprise in the Middle picture. The affective lesson focused on the things that make up a person's personality. The rest of the afternoon was spent completing the Wonder of the World projects.
