4th Grade - Today's vocabulary word was sullen which means a person who is sulky or quietly in a bad mood. Mary Cassatt known as "America's Great Impressionist" was today's ponderer. Students drew a robot following the directions of Surprise in the Middle for the warm up activity. The affective lesson focused on how many activities students were doing and how to manage them all. Students spent time finishing up the Wonder of the World project and their Munrack friends.
5th Grade - Opprobrious, which means shameful, infamous was the vocabulary word today. The ponderer was John Pemberton, inventor of Coca-Cola. These students also followed directions to make the Surprise in the Middle picture. The affective lesson focused on the things that make up a person's personality. The rest of the afternoon was spent completing the Wonder of the World projects and working on the ExploraVision contest.
