1st Grade - Theodore Roosevelt who authored a book about his Rough Rider experiences was today's ponderer. Students learned how to solve logic puzzles. In Crystal Pond Woods, students looked at the parts of things to create analogies.
5th Grade - Today's vocabulary word was Sojourn which means a short stay or brief residence. Richard (Dick) Knerr and Arthur (Spuds) Melvin who developed the hula hoop and saved the job of hundreds of workers were today's ponderers. Students worked on a logic elimination puzzle for the warm-up activity. The affective lesson focused on our families. The afternoon was spent being introduced to the industrial revolution.
