4th Grade - Potent which means powerful and effective was the word of the day. The Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. who led peaceful protests to equality for all Americans was today's ponderer. Students solved Plexer puzzles for the warm-up activity. Robot directions from another school were passed out to be built. Then students critiqued the instructions. The final activity was to begin looking at systems in Oklahoma.

5th Grade - Inception which means the start or beginning was today's vocabulary word. The ponderer was Milton Hershey who failed at several businesses before creating a caramel that developed into a successful company. These students quickly solved the Plexer warm-up puzzles. The affective lesson focused on rules we follow in all areas of our lives. They spent the afternoon creating a way to share their ExplorVision project with family and friends who come to visit Thursday evening for Open House.
