5th Grade - Inception which means the start or beginning was today's vocabulary word. The ponderer was Milton Hershey who failed at several businesses before creating a caramel that developed into a successful company. These students quickly solved the Plexer warm-up puzzles. The affective lesson focused on rules we follow in all areas of our lives. They spent the afternoon creating a way to share their ExplorVision project with family and friends who come to visit next Thursday evening for Open House. We then tried to pick up a few activities that were missed last week because of the snow. Sojourn means a short stay , brief residence. Richard (Dick) Knerr and Arthur (Spuds) Melvin saved jobs by using an unwanted plastic to build hula hoops.
