4th Grade - Today's vocabulary word, Idyllic, describes something that is pleasant and peaceful. Matthew Henson, who assisted Robert Peary in becoming the first humans to reach the North Pole, was today's ponderer. The affective lesson focused on friendship and why we have friends. Our Systems study had students exploring the metric system.
5th Grade - students were participating in a writing boot camp to help them prepare for the state writing test. Class was canceled for today.
