5th Grade - Solicitous, which means attentive and concerned, was today's vocabulary word. The Father of the Idaho potato, Luther Burbank, was today's ponderer. A Stories with Holes problem was the warm up activity. The affective lesson focused on self-discipline. One aspect of self-discipline is goal setting. Students will keep track of how well they are working toward that goal this week. We will celebrate their successes next week. The rest of the day was spent completing their Bridge Across America timeline.
