4th Grade - The vocabulary word of the day was Benign, which means hamrless. Mary McLeod Bethune, a civil rights activist and educator, was today's ponderer. Students completed a Quotation Quizzler for the warm up activity. Family traits continued to be the focus of the affective lesson this week. They finished the morning by learning more about electricity.
5th Grade - Pugnacious, which means quarrelsome, was today's vocabulary word. Alexander Graham Bell, inventor of the telephone, was the ponderer of the day. Students completed a logic elimination puzzle for the warm-up activity. The affective lesson focused on respect. The afternoon was spent working to complete the westward expansion project.
