5th Grade - The vocabulary word of the day was Sequester which means to remove and hold in isolation. George Washington Carver was the ponderer. Mr. Carver invented over 300 uses for the peanut to save southern farmers' farms. These students also completed the Surprise in the Middle picture. The affective lesson focused on tolerance and empathy. After lunch, students completed some more research on the Wonder of the World project. The final activity was an introduction to the Exploravision contest.
