5th Grade - Pejorative, which means disparaging/put down, was today's vocabulary word. Levi Strauss, inventor of blue jeans, was the ponderer of the day. Students completed a Quotation Quizzler for the warm up activity. Here is a website for similar puzzles to complete at home http://www.dropquotes.com/. The affective lesson focused on dependability. The rest of the afternoon was spent working to complete the Bridge Across America timelines. They are just about finished. If you have an opportunity during parent/teacher conferences to stop by, please come by and see them.
